I would give it more stars , because it is a beautiful setting in a remote area of Ohio, except...i spent a Sat night there. Although there are laws that say no alcohol in state parks there was a group of campers who were drinking heavily with no attempt to hide it. Bottles of 5ths sitting on their picnic table and around 10:30 someone yelled...good thing we brought a lot of beer. Very loud, and although 6 sites away, I could hear them all to clearly. Never, never,never did I see a park ranger or camp host ( assuming there was one) come by. They partied hard and long . I pitied that tent camper around them. When I checked in I was given a map...but not the rules and I'm sure there are some. When I pay for camping I expect some supervision of the campground. I slept better in a Wal-Mart parking lot the night before....which was very quiet. No peace while I was there
I agree with others, this is a nice place, but very few level sites.
If there is paid staff here they were not doing their job.
Bathrooms and shower house very clean.
There is a beach at the lake which does not charge admission.... great way to cool off in August.
probably one of the worst state park campgrounds I have ever stayed at in Ohio. We stayed in lot #47 with electric and there in so shade and absolutely no trees around the site. Just a open gravel site. We also camped the first week of November which was full of hunters. They were loud and very noisy at all hours of the night.
Great place to stay! Clean rooms! Good food.
I didnt expect a lot but for the price they could at least level some site up so you can tent camp and the rv area has not one single tree on it bees around the water supplies all in all skip this camp ground even the park area was very dated and unsafe
